Level 3, a major backbone provider, has been experiencing internal routing problems since very early this morning. This has caused intermittent slow or interrupted service to many destinations. As of this time they claim the problem has been resolved.
At approximately 11:30 today NCIC began experiencing problems. Fort Collins traffic gracefully switched to other upstreams. But, all DSL traffic flows in through NCIC and DSL customer are down at this time.
Connectivity through NCIC was restored at 12:15, however there is still a problem with DSL authentication.
As of 13:40 DSL service has been restored.
The reported cause was an extended power outage at the facility.
Abovenet performed scheduled router upgrades this morning that resulted in several brief outages between 3:15-4:00AM MT.
